I am a special educator in a self-contained classroom. Last year was the first time I ever taught math. Math has always been my ultimate weakness and I did not know how to teach my students. After searching on You Tube for videos on how to teach subtraction with regrouping, I discovered "Teaching Tip Tuesdays". I watched all of them over a period of three days and took a ton of notes. 

As soon as I had the opportunity, I joined the Math Intervention Academy. Learning about teaching the conceptual before the standard made a huge difference in my lessons last year and has had an even bigger impact on my students this year. The resources, webinars, and workshops have made a huge impact on my teaching, especially learning about the vertical alignment. It helps me know how to level my students and how to individualize my instruction. And I am very thankful to Michelle for her resources and all I have learned from her.
